WHY YOGA AND DANCE?

Yoga and meditation are extremely helpful tools for dancers. Especially in this time where the skill set of most trained dancers is pushing boundaries of the body that 20 years ago were not considered to be possible. To balance out the advancements of the body, there also needs to be a new approach to how the mind is operating during training, competition/performance, and recovery time.

Lindsey has spent the past 12 years working with dancers and melding their training with yogic practices that benefit them best. She is an advocate for mindful movement and using the breath as an anchor to enhance focus, increase stamina, and calm the mind under pressure.

Some of the individual dancers she has worked with have won national titles, toured with major artists, and have been accepted into colligate dance programs at Juilliard, NYU’s Tisch, and UCLA. Dance teams/studios she has worked with have gone on to win state championships and national titles.
